There are approximately 130 SCJ priests and brothers living and working within the United States in a variety of ministries. There are about 2300 SCJ priests and brothers world-wide. In the US, we are involved in parish ministry in Houston, southern Texas, northern Mississippi, South Dakota and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We are also involved in other ministries including

  • St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota - an elementary school for Native American children

In addition to parish work, some members teach or work as chaplains. Others are involved in social justice programs. Some have practiced law, others provide counseling and psychological assistance.

We work primarily in South Dakota, northern Mississippi, Houston and southern Texas, and Wisconsin. Our college formation house is in San Antonio, Texas where our students attend the University of the Incarnate Word. Our theology students attend Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, Illinois. Chicago is also home to our novitiate program.
