St. Anne's Parish in Milwaukee was always blessed with committed, wholesome and prayerful priests and sisters. Often, there was mention of the priesthood and a deep esteem for this vocation. The great need for missionaries throughout the world was resented as an opportunity and challenge to spread the Gospel and the Good News of salvation. Stories of missionaries in the period 1900-1940 were fascinating and inspiring to me.

First Fridays and prayers to the Sacred Heart meant a lot to me. The personal love of God for each person - the care and concern of this love through the Sacred Heart, made God a real and close friend to me and every person.

What it means to me to be an SCJ develops and matures through the years. Today it means being sent to God's people in Texas, being present where they are, sharing with them their dreams, hopes, visions, joys, losses, pain and suffering.

A religious family brings the spiritual dynamics of Christ’s love for us by inspiring us to have the same love, respect, acceptance and concern for each other. This dynamic motivates us to bring this experience to our ministries.
