The Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic apostolic religious community of both brothers and priests. We live, pray, and work together in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

We use the initials SCJ after our names. SCJ comes from the Latin phrase Sacerdotum Cordis Jesu (a literal translation would be of the Priests of the Heart of Jesus). In North America, we often refer to ourselves as the SCJs. In much of the rest of the world, we are known as the Dehonians. This name comes from the name of our founder, the Venerable Fr. Leo John Dehon.
