Reading
of the Decree of the Congregation for the Cause of Saints On April 19 morning, at Sala Clementina, in the presence of the Holy Father John Paul II, the members of the Congregation for the Cause of Saints and the postulators of the different causes were promulgated fifteen new decrees. The Cardinal José Saraiva Martins, prefect of the Congregation, read a biographic outline of the Blessed and Servants of God. Among the new Blessed, was introduced also our Ven. Servant of God, John of the Sacred Heart, Leo Gustav Dehon, founder of our Congregation - Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Dehonians) (1843-1925). "He dedicated himself to the social and educative apostolate, giving life to a several initiatives which he had to bear with many sacrifices" said the Cardinal, while introducing Fr. Dehon.
